Tsukkake (Punch to face)

Uke stands in front of Tori at a distance of approximately 180 centimeters. Uke holds his fists like an old-style boxer. His left foot and fist is forward. Both his fists are held with knuckles downwards. Uke moves towards Tori with his left foot followed by his right. He feints with his left back-fist against Tori's face (fig. 1).

Uke then moves forward with his right foot and tries to strike at Tori's face with his right back-fist. Uke tries to strike between Tori's eyes, at his uto. Tori steps to the side. He pulls Uke's right arm downward with his right hand from above. Uke loses his balance to the front (fig. 2). He tries to pull back to regain his balance.

Tori moves in behind Uke. He first moves his right foot to a place between Uke's heels. Tori then moves his left foot backward. At the same time he pulls Uke backwards and strangles him with a Hadaka jime. Uke's balance is completely broken to the back.

Uke grabs Tori's right forearm with both his hands. He tries to pull Tori's arm down to release the pressure. Uke cannot escape. He submits by stamping with his right foot on the mat.

Tori and Uke return to their positions.
