Tori and Uke are facing each other. Uke steps forward on his left foot. He tries to thrust the knife into Tori's stomach (as in the Idori section).
Uke avoids the blow. He shouts and strikes Uke between his eyes (fig. 2).
Tori applies an Ude hishigi hara gatame (fig. 3). He pulls Uke diagonally forward and steps right, left, right. Uke taps with his left hand on the mat.
Tori and Uke return to their positions. Uke moves the knife to the belt as in the Idori section.
